How would you describe yourself?
A normal woman, with a mathematics degree. During the week I work in a large insurance group. But I'm "famous" because I have an online shop window where I tell my story.
How did you start your second career?
It was a Sunday in 2010. I took pictures outside a fashion show without being aware of it. I notice a beautiful lady with red hair, and I made a magnificent portrait of her. She was Vivienne Westwood (but I didn't know at the time). I started enjoying myself, it was a novelty at the time. I opened my streetstyle blog "Catching Instants" (now it's gone) and in September (after taking a vacation) I showed up again outside the fashion shows ...
What happened?
I had a life changing meeting at Armani's – I took a photo of this beautiful girl, black hair, with a yellow jacket and a fabulous smile. She was Viviana Volpicella. I gave her my business card and with the approval of Anna Dello Russo, she asked me to take streetstyle photos for Vogue Japan. That's how I started...
The real passion?
Photography, not fashion. My dad gave me a camera when I was a little girl. I still have it.
The secret to your success?
Telling my story, not someone else's. I have remained authentic. I have always told the story of my life – years before the era of influencers. Instagram works because you identify with it. My world is much more like those who don't work in fashion.
