In the large collections that our archive reveals, the floral is only one of the magical worlds we access. The most diverse stripes, dots and geometric elements, from time to time enriched, decorated and developed according to the tastes and fashions of their era, are a fundamental part of our artistic production. Hence in the prints we find squared elements hiding floral compositions, as in Place des Vosges, moiré flowers alternating with tile-effect medallions, spheres that contain delicate patterns, maxi dots resembling cocoons, geometric borders that create or hide ornaments, multicoloured stripes with dimensional effects, minimal décor elements such as buckles and straps as key elements in Manège and Rising Trot, the facets of the precious stones of Maharaja jewellery and a Scottish motif that is also 'broken up' into a sort of kaleidoscope. Moving from the detailed and rich decorations of French origin, to more essential elements, full colour very '80s: nothing is really rigour but everything is profoundly balanced.
